“El nuestro es un Evangelio de gozo y santidad en la vida cotidiana. La santidad distingue las cosas con fines sagrados. Sin embargo, la santidad también nos invita a impregnar la vida cotidiana de lo sagrado”, dijo. “Para andar con el Señor, debemos llegar a ser santos, como Él es santo1; y, para ayudarnos a llegar a ser santos”.
El Centro de Conferencias estuvo cerca de su capacidad total el sábado por la noche por tercera vez ese día, como señaló el élder Bednar. La sesión fue dirigida por el élder Ronald A. Rasband, miembro del Cuórum de los Doce Apóstoles. El presidente de la Iglesia, Russell M. Nelson, y el presidente Jeffrey R. Holland, presidente en funciones del Cuórum de los Doce Apóstoles, vieron la sesión desde casa.
La música estuvo a cargo de un coro misional dirigido por Cory Mendenhall y Chemain Evans, y acompañado por Linda Margetts y Joseph Peeples en el órgano. El coro cantó “Llevaremos al mundo su verdad”, “Andaré con Cristo”, “La barra de hierro” y “Ven, Señor Jesús”.
